Smartwings to host scenic flight over Hungary in European first

Czech airline Smartwings and the Budapest-located Aeropark Repülőmúzeum are joining together for a European first – a flight from Budapest to Budapest at low altitudes, to allow passengers to view the Hungary’s scenery; including the Danube Bed, Balaton and the City of Budapest itself.

In addition to the pleasure flight, the experience package includes free admission to the Aeropark Air Museum and a one-hour visit to the airport itself – although it doesn’t say if this is the terminal building or ramp access!

Using a 189-seat Boeing 737-800 Smartwings and the Aeropark are selling tickets for 35,000 Hungarian Forint (around £88) for a window seat and 26,000 Forint (£65) for a middle or aisle seat.

Tickets must be purchased in advance by credit card, and all passengers must be aged 6 or older. There isn’t long left to buy your ticket if you’re interested, the deadline for sales is 19 October.

In order to book your ticket visit the Aeropark website with the following information:

  • name
  • address,
  • place and date of birth,
  • mother’s name,
  • id number (or passport or driver’s license number).
