We’re aware of a number of users having received spam emails from a supposed member of Planet Avgeek this morning.
We have a number of systems in place to stop spammers registering on the website, including human oversight of “dodgy” looking accounts. Sadly on this occasion, one account slipped through.
The account in question has now been deleted, and we’re currently tweaking our systems so that it doesn’t happen again.
Obviously it goes without saying, please don’t click any links you don’t expect to receive and simply delete the emails you have received.
