Located in Alexandra Gardens, alongside the River Thames in Windsor, the memorial is close to 10 Alma Road, formerly 2 Bounty Terrace which was the birth place of the designer of the Hawker Hurricane, Sir Sydney Camm. This full scale model wears the markings of Sqn Leader John Grandy who was Commanding Officer of 249 Squadron during the Battle of Britain.
