This full size model of the Gloster E28/39, which was the first aircraft in the UK to be powered by Frank Whittles’ new W1 jet engine in May 1941. It can be found on the roundabout at the junction of A4303 The Lutterworth Road and A426 Rugby Road. There is a similar model on a roundabout in Farnborough, Hants details of which can be found here.
