Lodge Hill Garage is located just off the A4183 north of Abingdon Town, just before the road passes over the A34. The Spitfire is located on a frame over the top of the forecourt, purchased in 2009 by the garage owner it was put on display in 2011 to honour the women pilots of the Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA) who delivered aircraft all over the country during World War 2.
This is visible from the main road and the owners are always happy for photos to be taken if asked first.
