Gatwick Aviation Museum

Gatwick Aviation Museum

Founded in 1987, Gatwick Aviation Museum began as a private collection acquired by local Surrey businessman Peter Vallance. Peter found the people, development and stories within the world of aviation and heritage fascinating. It was in 1990 that he decided to establish the Museum as a Charity and welcome the public inside. His aim was clear – to share his passion with the community through the Museum that he created to inspire future generations.
Today the Gatwick Aviation Museum has continued to inspire passion, learning and development in an enjoyable environment that provides a platform to gain crucial skills and experience. Through our collections, engineering projects, fundraising initiatives, educational events and workshops, the Charity continues to provide many opportunities for those, who aspire to join the aviation industry that exists today.
